SPA Bhopal Scholarships

Candidates can apply for the scholarships offered by state or central government as per their eligibility. Below mentioned are a few scholarships:

Central Sector Scholarship for ST/SC/Minority Students: Students who belong to the minority community with at least 50% aggregate marks in the previous examination and annual family income less than INR 2,00,000 are awarded tuition fees and academic scholarship amount upto INR 21,000.

Mukhyamantri Medhavi vidyarthi yojna in Madhya Pradesh: Under this scheme, students with 85% or more marks in 12 examinations or 70% or more marks in 10th examinations and annual family income less than INR 6,00,000 are provided this scholarship upto INR 1,50,000. The total fee including the tuition fees, mess fees, hostel charges and every other charges are to be paid by the state government only.

Gaon ki Beti Yojna: Girl candidates who are residents of Madhya Pradesh and have secured 60% aggregate marks in 12th examinations are given this scholarship every year for 10 months.
Central Sector Scholarships for Students with Disability: This scholarship is for the students who are the residents of India with annual income of the parents/ guardian less than INR 2,50,000. The amount of the scholarship can be upto INR 50,000 per annum depending on the criteria and the instructions.

Ques. What is the admission procedure for the PG courses at SPA Bhopal?

Ans. For the M.Arch and M.Plan courses at SPA Bhopal, a candidate needs to give the CCMT and direct admission test is also available. For the M.Des a candidate needs to appear in the admission test by the college. Candidates should make sure that they have scored well in the exams that are the basis for the selection basis. Here's what you need to know before joining School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal

privacy- only 2 students per room which helps with privacy concerns.,
accommodation- fully furnished with two tables, cots and fans separately.,

JEE MAINS PAPER 2, The application was done by the college. The application fee for the special round I applied through CSAB was 36,500 with 35,000 refundable and 1500 processing fee which is non-refundable. EWS reservations can also be used for OC and OBC students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of a very different stream and it sounded interesting to me. As time passed by, I grew interested in this field and will be one of the successful studies in the coming future. The faculty are all very knowledgeable and very well experienced and have worked all around the country. The exams and assignments are tough but manageable if done on time.

SPAB

The curriculum has vastly improved and the exam systems are fair. Research is encouraged but no relaxation for attendance during competitions is provided so it limits the involvement of many students. No industry specific education is imparted. The college only covers the general knowledge required but faculties are kind and helpful and always ready to help students. There used to be a yearly trip for each batch but that has been cancelled by the College stating a lack of funds even though a fee for that same trip is included in the admission fees.

Placement Experience:

It's a course where there aren't many campus placements. A few come and take a select few students. They generally check the cgpa and portfolios of the students and choose the tentative students based on that. The interview process usually consists of a few general and a few professional questions. The tentative percentage of students placed is somewhere between 20 and 30 percent.

Attendance expect that faculty are quite friendly.

College not only educate us about architecture it teaches about life. The college takes students on educational trips every year where the students are willing. Architecture is learning something new at each and every minute. The college has a placement cell, but there are no college placements. The student has to get a job in a company for our own. It depends on your work and skill, and the remaining doesn't matter. Most of the companies visit the college and hire for internships.

The college has good academic status. Thus does not provide much support for cocarricular activities. college has good area of expansion but location is so remote, thus has less connectivity. The college bus is the main mode of transport of the students.

Course has a good value around the globe. And the college has a good global rating for this course. Attendence rules are a bit strict thus it helps in increasing the academic value of the college and also helps in creating good architects and planners.

LIFE AT SPAB

The location of the campus is very far from city, well it though saves us from the hustle bustle of city but sometimes we feel as if we do not have as social life there because we really lacks in eating joints plus gaming facilities and hangout sessions are really less.

The course designed is excellent and is updated as per the market requirements. we learn from very good books and latest trends were being taught to us. It is both practical with good amount of research included into it and as far as I know in most of the colleges we learn the process of doing it and actual things we learn in the field.

Overall college life here is good and teclaches us the good and bad aspects of life, They not only teaches us the subjects but also teaches the harsh reality of life. Negative point is that the college has too much of rules and regulations.

Apart from engineering its a creative and hardworking feild, it requires full dedication and interest in order to complete the course, the course curricullam is tideous and tiring u wont get much time to sleep. Exams are not that tough.

The study is very much project oriented. We have to select a city or town every semester and study the area by conducting several surveys, collecting information from government officials and attend several lectures. Then we have to make analysis and arrive with proposals and conclusions for the city.

As of now, there has not been many placements or job opportunities created by the college. But they have promised to bring authorities to provide us with placement opportunities in the future. Last year, just 2 students got placed from our college and this year, the Training and Placement Cell said that they would bring as many as agencies as possible to the equation.

One of the finest

The course curriculum in general covers a wide variety of subjects. From basics such as Design and Building construction to civil engineering based topics such as structures and surveying.There are four semester long courses known as Seminar where each student has to pick a topic and present a paper on it. The final year is dedicated to thesis and research.There are few elective options in the final year, but in general student has to pretty much study everything in the curriculum. This is not rigid, but just a professional requirement.

Campus placement is almost nil. But again in architecture this is not how usual placement happens. Few NITs and IITs have campus placements because T&P cell has already been established. But this is not much of an issue as SPA alumni are easily accepted into architecture firms upon application, in most cases, preferred.

The new sunrise of Architecture

With the same pace it will achieve the best position in upcoming years. College provide every single possible thing to students, which is the best part of it since 2008 (Foundation Year).

Course curriculum is framed in such a way that student gets to learn step by step with change of design topic in every semester. From basic design to other typical subjects, students get to learn more through educational trips related to different subjects. Till the thesis, students get to know many styles and faces of architecture including practical training for six months.

MY college

College was really fun.How quickly 3 years passed in the college.It was the best days of my life.I miss sitting in the canteen with my friends and doing so much masti. College management was not very strict and they provided us the desired freedom.I remember one incident where one of our collegue was suffering from dengue and all of us wnet to the hospital to see him. College was so helpful they postponed the internal exam by one day on our request.

Curriculam consisted of 6 total 6 semesters consisting of subjects like c, c++, Java and electives like compiler designing, dot net, c sharp, artificial intelligence.
