What is CLAT 2024 Admit Card release date?
CLAT 2024 admit card is likely to be out by the 3rd week of November 2023. The consortium of NLU releases the admit card on its official website, comsortiumofnlus.ac.in.
The Consortium of NLUs is going to conduct CLAT 2024 on December 3, 2023. The exam will be conducted for a duration of 2 hours in offline mode. CLAT 2024 Exam Pattern has been revised. The total number of questions has been reduced from 150 to 120.
The minimum CLAT 2024 eligibility is 50% (for reserved category 45%) in graduation for General category students appearing for CLAT PG exam. CLAT 2024 reservation criteria have been revised in the seat matrix for Gandhinagar National Law University (GNLU), Silvassa.

What is CLAT 2024?
CLAT is a national level exam for admission to UG and PG law courses. CLAT exam is conducted for admission in 24 NLUs (National Law Universities) and around 61 affiliated colleges. The Consortium of NLUs conducts CLAT exam once a year in offline mode.

CLAT Full Form
CLAT full form is Common Law Admission Test. Students aspiring to pursue law courses can apply for CLAT exam after completing their class 12 from any recognized board. In addition, students with Bachelor’s in LLB are also eligible to apply for CLAT exam to pursue a PG course in law from any 24 NLUs.

More than 60,000 candidates from different cities across India appear for the CLAT exam every year.
The top score in CLAT 2023 UG was 116.75. Two candidates received a score of 100 percentile; four candidates received a score of 99.99 percentile and three candidates received a score of 99.98 percentile. The total marks is 150. The duration of the test was 120 minutes and had 5 sections.One question was withdrawn in the final answer key. Hence, the total number of questions is 149.
The highest mark secured in CLAT 2023 PG is 95.25. One candidate has scored 99.99 percentile followed by one candidate scoring 99.98 percentile another one scoring 99.97 percentile. The CLAT PG exam duration was for 120 minutes consisting of one section of 120 questions.

CLAT 2024 Eligibility
Students seeking admission to law courses through CLAT UG exam must meet the following CLAT eligibility criteria.
CLAT UG Eligibility
- The conducting body, the consortium of NLUs, has not set an age limit to appear for CLAT UG exam.
- The minimum educational qualification for CLAT UG is securing at least 45% (General/OBC/PwD/NRI/PIO/OCI) in class 12. However, for reserved category like SC/ST, the minimum qualification required is class 12 with 40% marks from any recognized board.
- Appearing candidates are also eligible for CLAT 2024 exam. But students must provide their qualifying examination certificate at the time of admission. The candidate’s candidature will be canceled if he/she fails to provide the passing certificate.
CLAT PG Eligibility
- For CLAT PG, candidates belonging to General/OBC/PwD/NRI/PIO/OCI are required to score at least 50% in the LLB degree course. While for SC/ST candidates, a minimum of 45% is required in LLB.
- For CLAT PG also there is no upper age limit to be eligible for the exam.
- Final year or appearing students are eligible to apply for CLAT exam.

CLAT 2024 Registration Fees
No change is introduced in CLAT registration fees this year. CLAT 2024 registration fees is INR 3500 for SC/ ST/ BPL category candidates and INR 4000 for general category candidates. No exemption in fees is available for Women, PwD and NRI applicants. Additionally, while filling up CLAT application form 2024, candidates are given the option of purchasing previous year CLAT question papers for an extra fee of INR 500.

What is a Good Score in CLAT 2024?
CLAT is considered to be one of the most competitive law entrance exams. Because of the high number of applicants as compared to the seats available, securing admission to National Law Universities requires a decent score in the exam.
Considering the new changes in CLAT 2024 Exam Pattern, scoring around 78-85 marks i.e. 65-70% will be a good score in CLAT 2024. This score is good enough to secure admission into one of the top 5-6 NLUs. This year, CLAT 2024 will include 120 questions instead of 150. Because of the decrease in the number of questions, it might be difficult to score 100+ marks which was a good CLAT score until last year.
Candidates with even 46-48% marks can get admission to lower or new NLUs like NLU Sonipat. There are some NLUs that accept low CLAT scores but have good placement and alumni records.
