NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is the only national level UG medical entrance exam in India. NEET is conducted every year by NTA for admission to 1,00,000+ MBBS, 27,000+ BDS, 52,000+ BAMS/ BHMS/ BUMS/ BSMS seats in government and private medical colleges in India. NEET exam comprises 200 multiple choice questions- 50 each from Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany. For each subject, the question paper is divided into 2 parts- Part A comprising 35 questions and Part B comprising 15 questions. You need to answer only 10 questions in Part B. NEET Syllabus 2024 is reduced by NMC. The new NEET 2024 Syllabus is based on the revised class 11 and class 12 NCERT syllabus for biology, chemistry, and physics. NEET 2024 chemistry syllabus now comprises only 20 units (earlier 30). 1 new unit on Experimental Skills is added to NEET physics syllabus and a few topics have been deleted. 6 new topics have been added and a few deleted in NEET biology syllabus.

NEET 2024 Age Limit

NEET 2024 Exam Pattern

NEET Chemistry Syllabus
NEET chemistry syllabus is divided into 3 parts- physical chemistry, organic chemistry, and inorganic chemistry.
Physical chemistry chapters of NEET are divided into 8 units- some basic concepts in chemistry, atomic structure, chemical bonding and molecular structure, chemical thermodynamics, solutions, equilibrium, redox reactions and electrochemistry, and chemical kinetics.

NEET 2024 Exam Day Guidelines
It is advised to strictly adhere to NEET exam day guidelines issued by the NTA to avoid any troubles on the exam day.
- Carry a printout of your NEET hall ticket, valid id proof in original, passport size photograph for attendance sheet, and postcard size photograph affixed on the proforma downloaded with the hall ticket.
- Report before 1:30 PM at the test center as entry will be closed thereafter.
- Do not carry the items barred inside the test center- including electronic gadgets, mobiles, eatables, papers, stationery, etc.
- Wear clothes according to the dress code laid down by the NTA.
- Cooperate with the invigilators in the frisking process and during the attendance & answer sheet signing.

NEET Merit List for 15% AIQ seats is released by NTA based on NEET UG scores. NTA shares the merit list with DGHS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for MCC to conduct the 15% AIQ NEET Counselling for MBBS/ BDS/ B.Sc Nursing courses in AIIMS and other medical/ dental institutes in the country.

NEET 2024 Counselling
NEET 2024 Counselling procedure is carried out for every qualified candidate through online mode. The schedule and dates are released at mcc.nic.in after the declaration of result & merit list. On the basis of the merit list, Candidates are selected for the counselling process. NEET MBBS/ BDS Counselling is carried out for two types of seats- AIQ seats and State Quota seats.

AIIMS MBBS Admission through NEET 2024
For MBBS Admission in AIIMS Delhi, AIIMS Patna, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS, Bhopal, etc., it is mandatory to take NEET 2024 exam. Till 2019, AIIMS Delhi used to conduct AIIMS MBBS exam for admission to the UG course. However, in 2019, AIIMS MBBS exam was scrapped by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and NEET was made mandatory for MBBS admission.
- For securing admission, candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria of AIIMS MBBS, i.e., they must have passed class 12th from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as the main subjects.

- After the declaration of NEET 2024 result, the counselling process will start. It will be mandatory to appear for NEET 2024 counselling to be eligible for MBBS admission to AIIMS.
